Yeezy History
In 2013, Kanye West famously severed ties with Nike due to a lack of creative control. He subsequently signed a successful contract with adidas in 2016; the partnership was an immediate success, with the Yeezy Boost 750s selling out within 10 minutes of their release. His Yeezy Boost line quickly became one of their most popular and successful lines, offering several different models and colorways such as the Yeezy 350, Yeezy 700, Yeezy Slide and Yeezy Foam Runner.
Unfortunately, late 2022 saw the end of the partnership between adidas and West due to his unacceptable public comments. Though it is unclear exactly what will happen with the Yeezy sneakers, adidas have indicated their intention to continue to release new colourways without him.
